The Owl Centre will be providing training and support to an Autism team in Nepal, which is in need of our help and expertise.
Some might remember Pippa Vokhul, one of our Oxford team’s OT assistants, who moved to Nepal 3 years ago. She has made links with her local Autism team and they are in dire need of some support.
So, last week via The Owl Centre’s internal message board, I sent a ‘shout out’, and Chelsea Harse, Kate Ellery, Andrew Ryder, Nicola Read, Reanne Coleman (all SLTs), Steph Kucan (OT) and Philippa Petit (SEN teacher) responded, and together we’re going to support the autism team based at this hospital in Pokhara via tele-conferencing. Very exciting stuff which may one day involve a trip over there to help in person.
