Our brilliant Team of Autism Post-Diagnostic Support specialists work with the child or young person and their family to support them in behaviours, social interactions, emotional regulations, flexibility of thought and much more.

They work closely with other professionals, where necessary, whilst listening to the voice of the child and their families. Their work can be in an individual’s home, educational setting or online.  The areas of work will be unique to each individual and their families.

Autism Support for Children

Our Autism Post-Diagnostic Support specialists do not offer diagnostic assessments, but can offer initial sessions, recommendations based on the areas of difficulty, reviews, training, workshops and bespoke programmes tailor made to suit you and your child’s needs.

We are very used to liaising with educational settings, NHS and other professionals involved with your child as well, if you want us to. By letting us know what you are looking for and the needs of your child, we can match you to the most local person within our Autism Post-Diagnostic Support team.

Autism Support for Adults 

Our Autism Post-Diagnostic Support specialist team is dedicated to working with you and your family, to support your abilities, identify your Autism post-diagnostic support goals and assist you in achieving them. We can work in your home, workplace, care homes, day centres, or online where you feel comfortable and most supported.

We are very used to liaising with care home settings, NHS, workplaces and other professionals who are involved with you as well, if you want us to.

What happens in an initial session?

Information is gathered, discussions take place around previous therapies/support received, other professionals involved, medical history. Main presenting difficulties, what strategies/targets are currently in place that help. Individuals are asked what their desired outcome is from receiving the therapy.

This information is gathered and entered into a report with advice and recommendations, along with further up-to-date support from apps, websites and books.

What happens if my child does not participate in the session?

The child/young person does not always need to be present, depending on circumstances, age/difficulty/need, e.g. are the parents/carers needing support with understanding their child, is it post diagnostic support for the individual themselves?

What happens in a session?

The sessions are open and flexible for every individual, sessions are offered with a therapeutic approach with time and a safe space for individuals to explore what and how they feel. The main presenting difficulties are worked through at the individual’s pace and need.
