Right To Choose

If you or your child have been referred for specialist treatment including an Autism or ADHD Assessment, the NHS’ Right to Choose now allows you to legally choose who provides your care, providing you or your child are a registered NHS patient.

We currently provide Right to Choose in the Norfolk and Waveney area, offering:

  • Autism Assessments for Children & Young People aged 6-18 years old
  • ADHD Assessments for Children & Young People aged 6-18 years old
  • ADHD Medication for for Children & Young People aged 6-18 years old (if clinically appropriate)
  • Combined Autism/ADHD Assessments for Children & Young People aged 6-18 years old
  • ADHD Assessments for Adults
  • ADHD Medication for Adults (if clinically appropriate)

How does Right to Choose work?

If you’re requiring assessment by The Owl Centre for an Autism or ADHD assessment, just follow these few simple steps:

Step 1 – Complete Self-Report Form

Start by filling in your Self-Report Form, completing it and getting it ready to send to your GP.

Step 2 – Send Self-Report Form to GP

Once you have completed the relevant form, please ensure that you have sent this to your GP.

Step 3 – GP Referral

Once you have been referred to The Owl Centre by your GP, we’ll be in touch to confirm the referral.

Step 4 – Enrolment

Once we’ve received the referral from your GP, our clinical team will review your/your child’s referral.

Step 5 – Review

If your/your child’s referral has been accepted, you will be added to our Right To Choose waiting list.

Step 6 – Approval

We’ll be in contact to arrange your assessment and to provide you with the support you need.

Are you a GP looking to make a referral?

If you are a GP looking to make a referral for a Child, Young Person or Adult for an Autism or ADHD assessment, you can find the referral forms on SystmOne/EMIS.

Please note: all referrals must be completed by a GP or a registered NHS professional.
